The workshop “The 2nd Japanese comic processing project” was a link between the Digital Art and Design of the Faculty of Art and Design of Van Lang University with the GNT studio company.

Following the success of "the 1st Japanese comic processing project" workshop, GNT VN (belonging to GIANTY Group) cooperated with Van Lang University to organize the 2nd Workshop event. This was an opportunity for business to connect with students, find talents, and introduce Webtoon projects with attractive career opportunities. On the side of Van Lang University, there was the attendance of Mr. Phan Quan Dung - Dean of Faculty; Mr. Le Truong Bao - Head of Digital Art Design, teachers in faculty: Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Linh, Mr. Phan Van Hung, Mr. Nguyen Bach Duong, Ms. Vo Anh Xuan Thuong, Mr. Ho Van Doan, Mr. Pham Khanh Linh with more than 240 students who spent time on the program.

Workshop The Japanese comic processing Project was a useful and practical program in providing students who majored in Fine Arts with opportunities for practicing collision, accumulating experiences, and increasing income when they were still students.

Mai Tran, a second-year student of Digital Fine Art Design, asked an interesting question: "Webtoon comic processing projects have Japanese dialogue, I don't know Japanese, so do I have any difficulties?"

In response to this question, speaker Bao Van said that the processing of this project only needed to copy the available dialogue and required meticulousness, thoroughness, absolutely no any difficulties in language differences. Participating in the project not only improved your knowledge, but also helped you experience a professional working style, from naming correct file to checking error thoroughly before delivery, sharpening your attitude and personality that required for the job.

More than 240 students attended, were guided to make a Webtoon project in detail, step by step.

Continuing the cooperation activities with Van Lang University, the Workshop on the Japanese comic processing project has closed successfully, attracting a lot of attentions and responses, spreading the spirit of learning, continuing the passion for young artists.


Mr. Phan Quan Dung, Dean of the Faculty of Arts & Design highly appreciated this 2nd Workshop, which was not only a cooperation between the enterprise and the University, but also a stepping stone to connect Vietnamese artists – Japan in particular and contribute values to the country's Fine Arts - Design in general.
