(VLU-August 15, 2020) - Overcoming a series of candidates from nearly 30 teams across the country, Nguyen Duc Hoang (Graphic Design - Faculty of Industrial Fine Arts, Van Lang University) has excellently become the National Champion of Group A (groups of university, academy) of the World Graphic Design Championship 2020 (Adobe Certified Associate World Championship - ACAWC 2020). Hoang will represent Vietnam to attend the world finals in 2021.

(Van Lang, June 27, 2020) - In the morning of June 25, 2020, the Faculty of Industrial Fine Arts, Van Lang University opened the exhibition "Innovation in Fashion and Art". The works on display in the exhibition are projects made by students of Fashion Design.

(Van Lang - June 16, 2020) – On 16/05/2020 at the Alliance of Arts and Literature Associations of Ho Chi Minh City’s Head Office, Director Phan Thi Nhu Loan – the K20 alumni of Van Lang University’s Interactive Media Graphics program has received the Vietnam Cinema Association’s Golden Kite Awards 2020 for best short film category – “Ba oi (Grandma!)”.

On April 21, 2021, Van Lang University opened the Seminar and Workshop "Graphics in Vietnam - International 2021". 

The workshop “The 2^ndJapanese comic processing project” was a link between the Digital Art and Design of the Faculty of Art and Design of Van Lang University with the GNT studio company.

SCGP PACKAGING DESIGN CHALLENGE is an annual packaging design competition which is organized by SCGP group in Thailand. In 2021, the competition has been presented in Vietnam for the first time with the theme "Strengthening Creativity", for students from 18 to 25 years old with passion in the field of design. The total prize of the contest is up to 120 million VND.

(VLU, 18/10/2021) On the afternoon of October 15th, 2021, the Faculty of Art and Design, Van Lang university accompanied with Toon Boom Animation to organize workshop with topic "Building script and storyboard techniques" on the MS Teams application platform, attracted student's attention as well as attendees inside and outside industry.
